Dow Jones Index Clears 12,000 Stocks Soar After Europe Deal. Stocks extended their rally on Thursday October 27, 2011. Currently as of 12:50 the Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading up 305 points to 12,174. The S&P 500 index is up to 1,278.36 or 36.36 points. Central banks world wide are injecting liquidity into the system and the bear is getting squeezed.
