Stocks Lose Steam High Frequency Trading Update AAPL PCLN GOOG CRM AMZN BIDU Reversals. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell one point, or less 0.1%, to 13271 in midday trading. The blue-chip benchmark rose as many as 59 points earlier in the day. A close above the 13279 would top May's high, and mark the Dow's highest finish since December 2007.The Standard & Poor's 500-stock index added two points, or 0.1%, to 1420, narrowly on pace to close at a 4½-year high. The Nasdaq Composite added two points, or 0.1%, to 3078.
