Last time Google CEO Larry Page delivered earnings it disappointed the street which started a bear market decline down from $578.51 to $473.02 a decline of $105.49 or 18.23%.
We noted during the last earnings that Google was investing a great deal of money into their business model and that it may take several quarters to see these results hit the bottom line.We saw this sell off start immediately after the prior earnings release and the decline ended 6/24/2011 and we've been rising into the report.
The stock was downgraded on Friday after a huge run up (options expiration day) and we saw some put options pay over 1,000% overnight.Will Larry Page Deliver? It depends on how Wall Street views their earnings and if the Street gets what it's looking for. "Google earnings" as the leader will set the tone for the tech sector going into the second half of the trading year.
